Kelly Slater is well on the way to a ninth world surfing crown after defeating Mick Fanning in the final of the Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay. Despite the wind blown conditions the American maintained his flawless form, posting two strong 8-point rides to defeat Fanning with a score of 16.73 to 9.40.
