Royden Bryson into Round 3 at Rip Curl Pro Search ‘Somewhere’ in Indonesia Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 31 July, 2008 : - - East London’s Royden Bryson was the only one of the four South Africans on the 2008 ASP World Tour to escape the cutthroat second round of the Rip Curl Pro Search taking place ‘Somewhere’ in Indonesia as the event moved to its main site on Day 2. Rated World No. 34 going into stop No. 6 of 11 on the 2008 Dream Tour, Bryson beat compatriot Jordy Smith (Durban) in a low-scoring encounter held in perfect but very inconsistent two metre plus waves at the unnamed break.
