Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay 08': Round Two Update

Round 2 was highlighted by excellent surfing from Jordy Smith and Bobby Martinez. Jordy put together the highest heat score of 18.60 for round 2. Ben Bourgeois easily advanced into round 3 since Pancho Sullivan had some flight difficulties and was a no show. Of course I had Pancho on my fantasy team.  Dane Reynolds, Timmy Reyes, and Damian Hobgood all had a dissapointing showing at J-bay and posted a nice equal 33rd. Forecasts indicate that conditions may be unsuitable for Billabong Pro competition over the weekend. Still, event officials will meet each morning at 7 to monitor the waves and make an official call.
