The Billabong Pro Mundaka 2008: Round 1 Heat Draw

As of Saturday September 27th, five ASP Top 45 surfers have withdrawn from the upcoming 2008 Billabong Pro Mundaka. 

Hawaiian brothers Bruce and Andy Irons have both withdrawn from the event due to various reasons.

2007 world champion Mick Fanning has also withdrawn from the event due to an apparent hip injury.

Australian Dean Morrison and Brazilian Neco Padaratz have also withdrawn, citing the same injuries that kept them out of the Quiksilver Pro France.

There is also talk that current world #3 Bede Durbidge was injured in a minor scooter accident, but has not withdrawn from the event yet.

Replacing these surfers in the draw are Tim Boal, Nic Muscroft, Gabe Kling, Reubyn Ash, and Manoa Drollet. (According to www.fantasysurfer.com)
